In the South Morotai District, there is a village that cultivates a superior variety of coconut known as "kelapa bido," characterized by its rapid growth and short stature. The advantages of kelapa bido include slow height growth but quick fruiting, producing large-sized fruits. The plants begin to flower at the age of 2 years and can be harvested at 3 years, with fruit shapes resembling large eggs. The objective of this study is to evaluate the potential for developing coconut seedling cultivation in Bido Village, North Morotai District. The data sources include primary and secondary data, with a sample of 20 farmers involved in the cultivation of kelapa bido. The analytical method employed is SWOT analysis. The SWOT diagram is positioned in Quadrant I, supporting an aggressive strategy (Strength-Opportunity). Thus, the farmers possess both the opportunities and strengths to leverage existing prospects, and the strategy to be implemented should support aggressive growth policies.
