Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of farmers' motivation, self-ability, and marketing on the success of shallot farmers in Oba District, Tidore Islands City. The research uses a quantitative approach with a survey method. The research population was all shallot farmers in Oba District as many as 30 people, all of whom were made respondents using saturated sampling techniques. Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using multiple linear regression analysis with the help of the SPSS version 26 program. The results of the study show that partially farmers' motivation, self-ability, and marketing have a positive and significant effect on the success of shallot farmers. Simultaneously, these three variables also have a significant effect on the success of farmers. These findings show that increasing farmers' motivation, strengthening self-skills, and improving marketing aspects are important factors in increasing the success of shallot farming in Oba District. Therefore, the support of the government, agricultural extension workers, and other stakeholders is needed through increasing farmer capacity, access to information, and developing a more effective marketing system to increase the productivity and welfare of shallot farmers.
