Aurora: Journal of Emerging Business Paradigms, published by PT. Sangadji Media Publishing, is fully committed to upholding the highest ethical standards throughout the publication process. This commitment applies to all parties involved, including authors, editors, reviewers, and the publisher. We adhere strictly to the guidelines set by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and emphasize the following principles. Any article found to violate these ethical standards may be retracted, even after publication. In cases of suspected plagiarism or duplicate publication, appropriate actions will be taken and relevant authorities notified. All submitted manuscripts are screened using plagiarism detection software to ensure academic integrity.
Editors are responsible for making the final decision on whether a manuscript is accepted or rejected, based on the journal’s editorial policies and ethical principles. These decisions take into account legal requirements, including libel, copyright infringement, and plagiarism. Plagiarism detection software is routinely used, with a maximum similarity threshold of 20%.
Manuscripts are evaluated solely on their academic merit, without bias based on the authors' race, gender, sexual orientation, religious beliefs, ethnic origin, citizenship, or political views. Editors and editorial staff must maintain strict confidentiality regarding all manuscript details and share them only with relevant individuals such as authors, reviewers, editorial advisers, and the publisher. Any privileged information obtained during the review process must not be used for personal advantage. Editors are also required to disclose any potential conflicts of interest that may influence their judgment.
Reviewers must treat all manuscripts as confidential documents and report any ethical concerns, intellectual property issues, or other matters that could warrant rejection. Reviews should be objective, focusing solely on the content and scientific merit of the manuscript.
If a reviewer feels unqualified to assess a manuscript or cannot complete the review within the requested timeframe, they should notify the editor-in-chief and withdraw from the review process. Reviewers must not use information obtained during peer review for personal or professional gain.
Authors are responsible for presenting their research findings accurately, honestly, and transparently. Data must not be fabricated, falsified, or manipulated in any form. The methods used must be described in sufficient detail to allow replication by other researchers.
Authors must ensure the originality of their work and avoid all forms of plagiarism. Proper citation of all data sources and references is required. Misleading or fraudulent statements are strictly prohibited. Authors may be asked to provide raw data during the editorial process and should retain such data for a reasonable period after publication to support transparency and reproducibility.
Research involving human or animal subjects must comply with ethical standards and applicable laws. Authors are responsible for obtaining necessary approvals from ethics committees and must clearly disclose any potential conflicts of interest, including financial support or affiliations that could influence the study. All funding sources must be acknowledged.
Only individuals who have made significant contributions to the research should be listed as authors. All co-authors must approve the final version of the manuscript and agree to its submission. Submitting the same manuscript to more than one journal simultaneously is prohibited. Authors should avoid duplicate or redundant publication. If a significant error is discovered after publication, the authors must promptly notify the journal and cooperate in issuing a correction or retraction.
