Where available, the article's title, author names, publication details, DOI, or URL should be included.

3. Requirements for Scholarly Contributions

All post-publication contributions must meet the journal's standards for scholarly relevance, clarity, professional conduct, and publication ethics.

Academic Relevance

The submission must directly address a published article and clearly identify the work being discussed, preferably including its title, author names, publication details, and DOI or article URL where available.

Evidence-Based Argument

Comments and criticisms must present clear reasoning and, where appropriate, be supported by relevant data, verifiable evidence, methodological explanations, or scholarly references.

Professional and Respectful Language

Contributions must maintain a respectful academic tone, focus on scholarly content rather than personal characteristics, and avoid personal attacks, defamatory allegations presented without evidence, discriminatory language, or harassment.

Originality and Ethical Conduct

Submissions must respect intellectual property, provide appropriate citations, disclose relevant conflicts of interest, and comply with the journal's publication ethics standards.

4. Editorial Assessment and Author Response

Upon receipt, the editorial team will assess whether a submission is relevant to the journal, sufficiently scholarly, respectful in tone, and appropriate for further consideration. The editor may request revisions, seek additional expert advice, or decline contributions that do not meet the journal's standards.

Where appropriate, the editor may forward the comments to the original author or authors and invite them to provide a response or clarification. The editorial team will evaluate the discussion impartially and consider the available evidence without automatically assuming that either the original authors or the contributors are correct.

Right of Reply

Authors whose work is discussed will be given a reasonable opportunity to respond when the editor considers a response appropriate. The response should address the substantive points raised and provide relevant explanations, supporting evidence, or additional context. The right of reply is intended to promote balanced scholarly dialogue and procedural fairness.

5. Publication of Discussion Contributions

If a submission and any associated author response are considered to make a meaningful scholarly contribution, the editorial team may accept them for publication as a Letter to the Editor, a scholarly discussion, or another appropriate contribution in a future issue or on an appropriate journal platform.

Acceptance is subject to editorial assessment of relevance, clarity, scholarly merit, originality, and compliance with the journal's publication policies. The journal may request revisions, seek additional expert input, or decline a contribution that does not meet its standards.

Editorial Independence

Submission of a comment or response does not guarantee publication. Editorial decisions will be based on the scholarly value of the contribution, the available evidence, and the journal's publication ethics requirements.

6. Corrections and Publication Ethics Concerns

If a post-publication comment raises credible concerns about factual errors, research integrity, ethical compliance, or the reliability of a published article, the editorial team will assess the matter under the journal's applicable publication ethics and correction or retraction policies.

Depending on the available evidence and the seriousness of the issue, further action may include:

  • Publishing a correction when an error can be addressed without retracting the article.
  • Issuing an expression of concern when substantial questions remain unresolved while further investigation is pending.
  • Retracting the article when the evidence justifies retraction under the journal's applicable policies.
  • Requesting additional information or referring the matter to an appropriate institution or authority when necessary.

All such matters will be handled fairly, proportionately, and with due regard for confidentiality, the rights of the parties involved, and the accuracy of the scholarly record.
