Post-Publication Discussion Policy
SCIENTIA: Journal of Multi-Disciplinary Science, published by PT Sangadji Media Publishing, recognizes the importance of post-publication discussion in promoting scientific transparency, accountability, and the continuous improvement of scholarly knowledge. The journal welcomes constructive, evidence-based comments, questions, and scholarly critiques concerning articles that have already been published.
1. Purpose and Scope
Post-publication discussion provides an opportunity for researchers, readers, and other members of the scholarly community to raise relevant questions, clarify interpretations, identify potential errors, and discuss the methods, findings, or conclusions of published articles. Such contributions should be scientifically justified, respectful, relevant to the published work, and supported by appropriate evidence where applicable.
The journal may consider comments concerning the validity of research methods, the interpretation of findings, the presentation of data, the reproducibility of results, the scholarly contribution of an article, or potential concerns regarding research integrity and publication ethics.
2. Submission of Comments and Discussion
Readers who wish to submit comments, questions, or scholarly critiques regarding a published article may contact the editorial office by email. Submissions should clearly identify the article concerned, including its title, author(s), publication details, and DOI or article URL, if available. The message should explain the issue being raised and provide supporting references or evidence where appropriate.
Correspondence should include the sender's name, institutional affiliation where applicable, and contact information. Anonymous submissions may be considered at the journal's discretion when they raise substantial and verifiable concerns about research integrity or publication ethics.

3. Editorial Assessment
The editorial team will assess submissions for relevance, scientific merit, clarity, supporting evidence, and compliance with the journal's publication ethics policies. Depending on the nature of the submission, the editor may consult the original authors, seek advice from independent experts, or request additional information before determining the appropriate course of action.
Comments intended for formal publication may be subject to editorial assessment and, where appropriate, peer review. The journal may invite the original author(s) to respond to substantive comments to ensure that relevant scientific perspectives are considered fairly. Any decision to publish a comment or response rests with the editorial team.
4. Authors' Right to Respond
Authors of the original article may be invited to respond to substantive comments or criticisms. Responses should address the scientific issues raised in a professional, evidence-based, and respectful manner. Where a comment and response are published, the journal may link them to the original article to facilitate transparency and provide readers with a balanced understanding of the discussion.
5. Research Integrity and Corrective Actions
If a post-publication submission raises credible concerns about errors, unreliable findings, plagiarism, data fabrication, data falsification, or other potential breaches of research or publication ethics, the journal will assess the matter in accordance with its relevant editorial and research misconduct policies.
Where justified by the evidence, possible actions may include publishing a correction, an editorial note, an expression of concern, or a retraction. The journal will determine the appropriate response based on the nature and seriousness of the concern, the available evidence, and the need to preserve the integrity of the scholarly record. The journal will not make corrective decisions solely on the basis of unverified allegations.
6. Ethical Standards and Editorial Independence
All post-publication discussions must be conducted in good faith and should focus on scholarly issues rather than personal attacks. The journal does not accept abusive, defamatory, discriminatory, or irrelevant submissions. The editorial team will handle submissions fairly and confidentially where appropriate, protect the right of relevant parties to respond, and manage competing interests in accordance with the journal's ethical standards.
The journal reserves the right not to consider or publish submissions that fall outside the scope of this policy, lack sufficient scholarly merit, or do not comply with its editorial and ethical requirements. Submission of a comment does not guarantee publication.
Commitment to Scholarly Dialogue
SCIENTIA: Journal of Multi-Disciplinary Science encourages responsible scholarly dialogue after publication as part of its commitment to research transparency, academic accountability, and the reliability of the scientific record. Constructive engagement among readers, authors, reviewers, and editors helps strengthen the quality and credibility of published research.
This policy is informed by established publication ethics principles, including the guidance of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). COPE Core Practices.
